Centers for International Programes - Kenya (ICAP) of Columbia University is working in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and the Ministry of Medical Services to strengthen HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment services at provincial and district health facilities.
This program is part of a US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Applications are invited for the following position to be based in Kisumu:
1. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Overall Job Function:
To provide support in the planning and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities
required for HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services in coordination with the Ministries of Health and ICAP staff in Kenya.
2. Adherence and Psychosocial Support Officer
Overall Job Function:
Provides technical support in the planning and implementation of adherence support activities
required for HIV care and treatment services at ICAP-supported facilities in coordination with the Ministries of Health.
3. Prevention Officer
Overall Job Function:
The Prevention Officer will be responsible for the coordination of the Prevention activities in
particular Prevention with Positives activities (PWP).
The PWP activities are targeted at HIV-infected persons and include prevention of HIV-re-infection, prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections, partner testing and disclosure, family planning and alcohol reduction counselling.
4. Data Officer
Overall Job Function:
Reporting to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, the Data Officer will provide data management, support high quality, accurate and timely reports.
5. Sub Agreement Accountant
Overall Job Function
The Sub-agreement Accountant will have overall responsibility for the implementation and
strengthening of the Sub-agreement component of the KAP Program in Nyanza.
6. Driver
Overall Job Function:
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager the driver will transport staff and supplies
to project sites.
