  • Sound practical experience of operation and maintenance of low voltage electrical equipment including motor control centres, variable speed drives, PLC’s etc.

2. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

* The incumbent will be responsible for all electrical additions, troubleshooting, modifications, maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance of all electrical components in the facilities.
* Install electrical feeders, branch circuits, light fixtures, and wiring devices in accordance with applicable codes. Ability to read and understand complex wiring diagrams, schematics, manufacturer blueprints and control logic drawings with minimal supervision.
* Carry out planned and preventive maintenance of High Voltage and Low Voltage systems, generators, security systems, battery charging units, kitchen and medical equipment, UPS units as well as testing instruments.
* Supervise all day-to-day activities of the electrical works of contractors on the basis of daily operation and maintenance schedules. Hands on participation and leadership over contractors personnel whenever important intervention is required regarding major equipment like power centers, backup generators, medical equipment and UPS units, to ensure appropriate completion and compliance with applicable standards.
* Liaises with Utility Power Authority in order to achieve uninterrupted and steady power supply as well as reviews electrical bills for the assertion of presented bills and suggests measures of efficiency

3. Education Qualifications Required:

Candidates must have a minimum of college diploma in electrical engineering from a recognized higher educational institution.

4. Work Experience:

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience on facility electrical system maintenance and a strong background in Diesel generators, including installations, operations, repair and maintenance of such sets. Candidates should also be able to perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on elevators, chillers, air handlers, pumps, cooling towers, solar power systems and HVAC systems.

5. Other Relevant Skill Required:

* Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Working knowledge of computer application software like Visio, Microsoft Office, and Autocad.
* Excellent knowledge of international organizations;
* Willingness to work days, evenings, nights, overtime and holidays as required and perform physically demanding tasks associated with this position.

6. Language Requirement:

* Proficiency in one of the African Union working languages.
* Knowledge of other working languages would be an added advantage.

7. Age Requirement:

Candidates must preferably be between 25 and 35 years old.

8. Tenure of Appointment:

The appointment will be made on a fixed term contract for a period of three (3) years, of which the first twelve months will be considered as a probationary period. Thereafter, the contract will be for a period of two years renewable, subject to satisfactory performance.

The Engineer will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for all planning, design and quality control aspects of Factory processes. The Engineer will report to the General Manager.

His principal duties include undertaking of all planning activities including costing of projects, Technical drawings and design work, in addition to ensuring quality control in the Factory is adhered to in accordance with the set standards.

* Measurements and mixing of raw materials to conform with set standards.
* Supervision of Artisans and Craftsmen

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following Qualifications: -

* Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
* 5 years experience working in a production Factory
* Must be registered as a Technician Engineer by the Engineers Registration Board (ERB)
* Basic electrical engineering and electronics knowledge

1. Trainee Graduate Engineers

The Company is looking for fresh trainee graduate engineers who are eager to develop a challenging but rewarding career.

The selected candidates will be expected to go through a one (1) year training programme.

Applications are invited from persons who possess either:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Option), or Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Option).
* The applicant should be a registered Graduate Engineer with Kenya Engineers Registration Board (KERB).
* Priority will be given to candidates who attained 2nd class honours upper division and above.

2. Security Officer

The officer will report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for:

* Carrying out audit of security matters in order to identify potential threats;
* Implementation of security strategies and measures to ensure maximum protection of Company installations, revenue, staff and other assets;
* Taking pro-active measures to protect Company interest, establishing and maintaining linkages with law enforcement agencies to enhance company security; and
* Collating intelligence information on current trends in crime and other security matters that could adversely affect the Company.

* Bachelors degree in Social Sciences or Engineering;
* Post graduate training in security; and
* Working experience of at least ten (10) years in disciplined forces and has risen to the rank of a Major or Chief Inspector.

Project Engineers
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the main objective of this position is to deliver completed projects to our client. You shall oversee project execution efforts to ensure they are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
Specific duties shall include

* Shall be in charge of various projects as shall be assigned
* Preparing schedules of resources required for project execution
* Preparing work drawing using AutoCAD or Arch cad
* Being responsible for the work of the whole project execution team
* Maintaining high technical standards for the company in Quality Control, safety etc
* Putting in place effective measure to run projects economically and efficiently
* Liaising with project Consultants and clients to ensure that their requirements are catered for on the projects.

* Preparing monthly budgets, financial appraisals and weekly cash flow for each project separately for presentation at the weekly review meetings.
* Evaluation of project performance against the works program and reporting this to the weekly Review meetings.
* Deal with customer complaints related to the project
* Ensuring that all relevant tests are performed and results forwarded to the client
* Ensuring that completion documents are prepared and forwarded to the client
* At completion, analyzing data collected during project period and preparing a report to the technical manager

Requirements
The candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications stated below:

* Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering.
* At least 3 years experience preferably in construction industry
* Experience in a management position
* Computer proficiency with emphasis on design applications e.g. AutoCAD and Arch cad
* Registration with Engineers Board and Energy Regulatory Commission will be an added advantage
