Brand & Marketing Manager

Location: Nairobi

Our client, a creative-led design agency specializing in generation of compelling design solutions and brand innovation seeks to recruit a Brand & Marketing Manager.

Job Scope:

Responsible for developing marketing plans and executing projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy

Take lead in managing vendor partners and communication agencies, and all aspects of their projects
Evaluate customer research; market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan changes as needed

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop an annual Marketing Plan, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year while meeting company objectives
  • Manage the marketing budget and deliver all marketing activities within agreed budget
  • Manage the achievement of frequent, timely and positive media coverage where necessary
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future services/products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
  • Analyzing current and potential partner relationships
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
  • Lead the planning and implementation of project and facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements and develop full scale project plans
  • Manage project resource allocation and plan and schedule project timelines
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and constantly monitor and report on progress of the project and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelors degree with a marketing focus preferred
  • Over 4 years work experience in marketing or branding
  • Experience managing a marketing team
  • Self starter and inquisitive
  • Analytical and strategic thinker, capable and experienced in developing and implementing tactical plans
  • Confident communicator with people at all levels internally and externally with the ability to adapt communication to different audiences
