Reporting to Head of Manufacturing, the Mechanical Engineering Manager will be responsible for:
- Enabling production targets to be met by eliminating avoidable factory stops attributable to mechanical failures.
- Planning and implementing preventive maintenance systems in the Factory plant.
- Preparing operational specifications and controlling engineering Projects.
- Operating the division within the approved budget of all resources, man, money, material and time.
- Preparing timely, divisional monthly reports.
- Enforcing safety policy in the factory.
- Organizing plant inspection scheme with a view to minimizing downtime.
- Planning and co-coordinating Effective Annual Plant and weekly maintenance.
- Improving the performance standards of all employees in the division by organizing and implementing training seminars, coaching etc.
- Maintains high level of discipline within the division.
- Providing strategic input in the area of Mechanical Engineering in Manufacturing
Person Specifications
- A holder of Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering, from a recognised institution with eight (8) years’ relevant work experience in a similar environment.
- Post graduate qualification in any of the following;- project management, strategic management, maintenance and condition monitoring, environmental management or any other related field from a recognised institution
- Registered with a professional body.
- Attended a senior management course for a period lasting not less than 4 weeks
- Performance and results.
- Computer proficiency
- Aged at least 30 years and above
2. Senior Internal Auditor
Reporting to the Audit Manager, the Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for:

- Conducting independent audits of the operational and financial functions of Sony sugar so as to identify weaknesses in the effectiveness and efficiency of controls and propose recommendations for improvement
- Prepare annual audit schedules and programs, perform risk exposure assessments and provide recommendations to minimize the risks and safeguards the Company assets.
- Carry out system audits and appraise the application and adequacy of accounting, financial, procurement and other controls.
- Review the work of internal auditors for quality and completeness, taking key risks into consideration.
- Prepare and submit audit reports including recommendations to management and the Board Audit Committee.
- Follow up on recommendations to ensure they are implemented.
Persons Specification
- A degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance from a recognized University.
- A qualified accountant (CPA Finalist / ACCA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a Manufacturing or Audit firm.
- Good analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Experience in using Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs).
- Possession of CISA qualifications an added advantage.

3. Legal Officer
Reporting to the Legal Services Manager, the legal Officer will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all legal affairs of the Company are efficiently managed and provides legal services to all departments of the Company.
- Reviewing and drafting contracts, leases and agreements on behalf of the Company.
- Providing legal advice on suits filed by or against the Company.
- Advising the Company on any new laws, regulations or statutes relevant to activities of the Company.
- Acting as a legal consultant for the Company in any legal matters, mediations, arbitrations
- Offering support to the procurement unit on legal matters.
- Drafting letters and correspondences on behalf of the Company, when called upon to do so.
- Assisting in establishing an effective court cases management system

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:
- Ensuring effective coordination, budgeting and execution of specific activities in his/her section aimed at securing optimal plant/equipment availability for efficient sugar processing. He/she will also be responsible for:
- Planning, installation and Commissioning of electrical machines and systems to the right standards.
- Planning and Supervision of all electrical Section human resources, daily works and maintenance.
- Availing of electrical equipment, Machinery and Systems to meet the desired corporate goals
- Embracing of customer focus, teamwork, integrity and staff requirements
- Ensuring health, safety and environmental practices are adhered to.
- Controlling cost of running electrical equipment, machinery and human resources within the approved targets.
- Availing of electrical plants by carrying out trouble shooting in electrical lines, machines, electrical drives and their systems.
- Carrying out proper section planning and execution of budget and capital projects within the approved targets.
- Periodically reviewing equipment and systems in line with market technology changes and advice management appropriately.
Person Specifications
- Must be holder of Bsc. (Electrical Engineering) from a recognized University.
- Knowledgeable in electrical fault diagnosis, trouble shooting, equipment maintenance, budgeting, condition monitoring and maintenance or project management or strategic management.
- At least 5 years ‘hands- on’ experience from a recognized firm preferably manufacturing industry and conversant with work on electrical systems up to 11kv and above.
- Demonstrate ability in Variable Speed Drives (VSD), Programme Logic Controls systems (PLC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Relays & Metering testing and calibration . Instrumentation and Electronic controls will be an added advantage
- Must be knowledgeable in energy management and conservation systems.

5. Instrument Superintendent
Reporting to Instrument Engineer, the Instrument Superintendent will be responsible for:-

- Ensuring effective coordination and execution of specific activities aimed at securing optimal plant/equipment availability for efficient sugar processing.
- Ensuring appropriate installation, commissioning, maintenance, service and repair of all instrumentation equipment, machines and systems.
- Managing periodical inventory of equipment, machinery, systems and spares. Update/ review upgrade, obsolescence, technology, replacement and replenishment. Advice management appropriately.
- Ensuring compliance with the sectional approved expenditure plans.
- Adhering to environmental, health and safety policy.
- Organizing and coordinating staff duty allocation and performance in instrument section.
- Prepare periodic section reports as shall be required.
- Preparing and executing planned preventive maintenance for all instruments and control equipment to assure reliable and accurate functioning/ optimal asset life cycle management.
- Overseeing control and measurement of equipment calibration programs in liaison with service providers to augment these services and maintain records.
