CAP Business Development Manager Job in Kenya

Business Development Manager 

CAP Youth Empowerment Institute Kenya, is supported by MasterCard Foundation, was established to provide Basic Employability Skills Training (BEST) for disadvantaged youth in the society with particular focus on women to get equitable, qualitative learning and access to promising labour market oriented opportunities, savings and credit that support their pathways to safe and positive futures. 

The key purpose of the organization is to assist 10,000 disadvantaged youth to make informed choices, develop labour-market oriented employability skills and access job placements, savings and enterprise development support. 

About the position Successful candidate will be tasked to Market CAP YEI programme to various organizations to seek their support mentoring young people, providing internships as well as employment opportunities to the CAP YEI students. 

The right candidate must be self-driven who can work with minimal Supervision and must have passion working with young people. 

This is a senior position and the right candidate must have the necessary skills and experience. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Interacting with various industry players and seeking their support towards the programme.
  • Creating awareness and marketing the program to the public and industry players.
  • Linking CAP YEI trainees with job opportunities.
  • Identifying potential employers to support the Programme and partner with CAP YEI.
  • Assisting Center coordinators to source for internships opportunities for students.
  • Organizing exposure and field visits for CAP YEI Students.
  • Creating Sectoral councils with various businesses and arranging Sectoral council meetings periodically as per the project guidelines.
  • Registration of Business mentors as per the company procedures.
  • Arranging the meetings with various employers, employer bodies to market CAP.
  • Coordinate Center visits by industry players to inspect the program
  • Carry out labour Market research.
  • Sourcing for mentors for young people.
  • Set up high profile meetings between various organizations and CAP YEI Management.
  • Doing the post placement study research and consolidating the placement positions.
  • Identify and propose potential organization to partner with. Competencies required
  • Proven sales and marketing Skills in reputable Organizations.
  • Very good written and proven documentation skills.
  • Internet savvy.
  • Executive level presentation preparation & delivery skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate both in oral and verbal forms.
  • Excellent Closing skills. 
Requirements 
  • 3 years and above working experience in sales and Marketing. 
  • Must be mature and with the right attitude. 
  • Past experience as a business Development Manager will be an added advantage.
  • Aged 27 to 35 years. 
  • Must have passion working with young people.
  • Relevant Degree/Diploma.
