Finance Manager and Accounts Assistant Jobs in Kenya

Our client is a dealer within the Telecommunications sector is seeking applications to fill the following positions:

Finance Manager

This is a role responsible for overseeing the company`s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems; ensuring compliance of financial statements with IFRS and IAS policies and procedures.

The role holder is expected to perform undertake the following:

* Compiling, preparing and ongoing monitoring of company annual budget
* Preparation of management accounts and financial reports
* Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends
* Participate in internal audits and provide auditors with accounting documents and explanation on audit queries
* Performance analysis and reporting
* Supervising and appraising the performance of assigned staff

The minimum qualities for consideration for this position are:

* A degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA(K) or its equivalent and be a member of ICPAK
* 3-5 years post qualification experience in a similar or related position
* Strong financial numeracy and financial analysis skills
* Good working knowledge of Kenyan tax laws
* Excellent and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* High degree of honesty and integrity

Accounts Assistant

The purpose of this post is to provide day-to-day bookkeeping support for the company and to assist in financial reporting and monitoring. Applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered:

* Minimum holder of CPA 2, with at least 1-2 years experience within Finance/Accounts
* Financial and numeracy skills including high levels of accuracy
* Strong organizational skills including proven ability to prioritize and work to deadlines
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* IT skills including a self-sufficiency using a range of software packages
* High degree of honesty and integrity
