One (1) Position
Pursuant to the
provisions of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (Amendment) Act
2015, the Public Service Commission, on 7 September, 2016, invited
suitably qualified Kenyans to apply for the position of Chairperson,
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission which closed 28th on September,
2016.
On scrutiny of the applications and shortlisting, the Commission did not find adequate qualified applicants to proceed to the next stage of interviews.
This is, therefore, to
notify all qualified Kenyans that the Commission wishes to re-advertise
the position of the Chairperson, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
as below:
NB: All those who had applied earlier need not re-apply.
1. Academic / Professional Qualifications and Work Experience Requirements
For appointment as Chairperson of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, a person should:
(i)hold a degree from a university recognized in Kenya,
(ii) have knowledge and experience of not less than fifteen (15) years in any of the following fields:-
(a) Ethics and Governance
(b) Law
(c) Public Administration
(d) Leadership
(e) Economics
(f) Social Studies
(g) Audit
(h) Accounting
(i) Fraud Investigation
(j) Public relations and media or
(k) Religious studies or philosophy
(b) Law
(c) Public Administration
(d) Leadership
(e) Economics
(f) Social Studies
(g) Audit
(h) Accounting
(i) Fraud Investigation
(j) Public relations and media or
(k) Religious studies or philosophy
(iii) Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
(iv) Have had a distinguished career in his/tier respective field.
2. Important Notes
(j) The Chairperson, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission shall be appointed for a single term of six years, shall not be eligible for re-appointment and shall serve on a part-time basis.

payable to the Chairperson, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, being
a state officer, shall be determined by the Salaries and Remuneration
Commission.
(iii) A person shall not be qualified for appointment as Chairperson of the Commission if the person:
(a) is a member of a governing body of a political party;
(b) is an undischarged bankrupt:
(c) has been convicted of a felony; or
(d) has been removed from public office for contravening the provisions of the Constitution or any other law.
