Requirements
and competencies
For
appointment to this post, the person should be;
·
A Kenyan citizen
·
Be in possession of a first degree in social sciences or Public
Administration from a recognized university (A Masters Degree with emphasis in
Public Administration or related field will be an added advantage);
·
Have a working experience of not less than seven (7) years in
senior level management and leadership position in a large public/private
organization.
·
Deep and direct understanding of administrative characteristics
unique to arid and semi-arid lands and in particular pastoralists’ areas and
their challenges.
·
Demonstrate outstanding leadership and managerial qualities
required at this level;
·
Demonstrate a clear understanding of the County development
policies, goals, objectives and ability to integrate them into the County’s
decentralized function;
·
Personal qualities of leadership and integrity, consistent with
the principles of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010
·
Understand the diversity within the county.
