Our
client is an upcoming milk processing company in Kiambu who seeks to hire a
Mechanical Technician to examine, inspect and maintain the factory equipment
Duties
and Responsibilities
- Reading and Interpretation of Drawings
- Examine work orders and work with equipment operators to detect equipment problems
- Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation
- Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests
- Keep record documents for equipment replaced or repaired
- Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications
- Coordinate efforts with other staff involved in installing or maintaining equipment
- Update equipment spare parts list whenever needed
- Adhere to clean and hygienic standards by keeping work stations clean
- Performs preventive/predictive maintenance procedures
- Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
- Compiling of reports for various projects
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualification
& Skills
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be 30 years old and above
- Must have technical and design background.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the manufacturing industry especially Milk factories
- Basic computer skills and internet access
- Must have strong CAD ability
- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed technical communication skills
- Ability to maintain detailed, accurate records, and prepare necessary reports
